Non-thermal Deaerating of the RPF filter

Our non-thermal deaerating (RPF) refers to heat and power engineering in the protection of heat exchange equipment, boilers, pipelines and other metal elements in power plants, boilers, industrial plants in the production of steam, production of hot water for water mains, and production of desalted and softened water for recharge steam boilers.


To implement the method, before feeding water to the boiler, it is filtered through "mesoporous Redoxites" synthesized by modifying the copolymers of styrene and divinylbenzene in sulfite form. 

The invention is based on increasing the efficiency of removing oxygen from water during filtration through “Redoxite”, increasing the efficiency of its use, and minimizing the volumes of liquid waste in the processes of obtaining and regenerating filter material. The proposed method of obtaining or regenerating filter material makes it possible to achieve excess equivalent sorption of sulfite -anions, almost doubling the capacity of "Redoxite" in oxygen, which is removed from the water.

The main purpose of the installation is to remove dissolved gases from water (water deaerating), and thereby prevent corroding the metal structures of power equipment and heating networks of heating mains (protection of boilers and heating networks against corrosion).

RPF filters are an alternative to traditional water deaerating methods based on the use of high-temperature treatment.


Installed RPF filters have several important advantages.

  • do not need preheating of water, and therefore, there is no need to use fuel (gas, coal, etc.) to deaerate water
  • lack of heat loss to the environment, compared to thermal deaeration plants (water deaeration), so fuel resources are additionally saved (lower gas consumption)
  • do not consume electricity, in comparison with vacuum deaeration plants
  • do not need automatic controls (ACS) for the process of water deaeration (removal of oxygen from water)
  • 1-2 years quick equipment payback
  • long service life - at least 20 years

An installed RPF filter is easy to operate. With proper operation mode, regeneration is required 2-3 times during the heating season.
The cost of the installation includes: supervision, commissioning, issue of security cards, instructions, training for the staff to work with the installation and methods of control.

The installation is protected by patents, and there are all the necessary permits to install and download.
